Google Ads Reporting Tool

What this application is

RankRGV is a digital marketing agency based in McAllen, Texas. We manage Google Ads accounts on behalf of our retainer clients across the Rio Grande Valley. This page describes an internal tool built and used by RankRGV — a command-line application that connects to the Google Ads API under our Google Ads manager (MCC) account.

Purpose

The tool lets our team pull campaign, ad group, and keyword performance data for client accounts into the reports we deliver, and make routine account changes — pausing or enabling a campaign, adjusting a budget — without logging into the Google Ads interface separately for every client. It replaces manual, repetitive work with a single reporting workflow across all client accounts we manage.

What Google user data it accesses, and why

The tool requests access to Google Ads account data through the Google Ads API, scoped to accounts that have been linked to RankRGV's manager account with the client's consent, as part of our existing service agreement with each client. Specifically, it accesses:

Campaign, ad group, and keyword performance metrics (impressions, clicks, cost, conversions) — used to build client performance reports
Campaign budget amounts — used to monitor and update budget pacing
Campaign status — used to pause or enable campaigns at a client's request

No data retrieved through this tool is sold, shared with unrelated third parties, or used for any purpose beyond managing and reporting on the specific client accounts we are contracted to manage.

Who uses it

This tool is for internal RankRGV use only. It is used exclusively by RankRGV staff to manage and report on our own linked client accounts. It is not distributed, resold, or made available to any external party.
